Meet Puzzle, the Rescue Dog, at French Alliance Reception Tuesday

It's official, my birthday party will be at the French Alliance - the historic Montrose-area residence at 427 Lovett Blvd http://www.afdehou.org/!

Want a sneak peak of this lovely place and do something fun besides? Tuesday, May 25 at 7 p.m., Susannah Charleson, author of Scent of the Missing: Love & Partnership with a Search and Rescue Dog, will be at the French Alliance with her golden retriever Puzzle greeting visitors and signing books.

The book has already hit the New York Times Best-Seller List. "Susannah beautifully describes her complex relationship forged with Puzzle as they help in the pursuit and recovery of people who have fallen prey to crime, misadventure, or catastrophe - a teen gone missing, an Alzheimer's patient wandering in th cold, the debris of the space shuttle Columbia disaster."

The event is sponsored by the Greater Houston Golden Retriever Club and Golden Beginnings Golden Retriever Rescue (http://www.gbgrr.org). The reception is provided by Golden Beginnings volunteers complete with raffle and prizes. All welcome - no charge.

When: Tuesday, May 25 at 7 p.m. Where: The French Alliance, 427 Lovett Blvd Cost: Free - all welcome
